VICKSBURG, Miss. — High School Seniors at Vicksburg-Warren School District are encouraged to apply for the 2026 Mississippi Association of School Resource Officers (MASRO) Scholarship, an opportunity to receive financial assistance for college tuition and textbooks.
The MASRO scholarship awards nine graduating high school seniors — one from each of the organization’s nine regions — a $500 cash award to help defray college expenses.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled as a twelfth-grade student in a Mississippi high school at the time of application.
Applications must include two letters of recommendation, with one letter from the School Resource Officer (SRO) at the applicant’s school, a current high school transcript and a completed attestation and disclaimer form. All sections of the application must be filled out completely and neatly.
Completed applications should be submitted to the MASRO Scholarship Committee via email at contactmasro@gmail.com no later than March 1, 2026. Awardees will be notified and honored during their school’s senior awards ceremony.
The MASRO scholarship is designed to support Mississippi students as they pursue higher education and to recognize academic achievement and community involvement.
