On Monday, September 15, 2025, the Madrigal Singers, comprised of 25 students (9th-12th) from the Warren Central High School Choral Department, participated at the Southern Invitational Choral Conference (SICC) hosted annually by The University of Southern Mississippi Choral Activities on the campus of USM in Hattiesburg, MS. This event provides the opportunity for high school and community-college students to meet fellow musicians from schools across the state, sing under the direction of renowned conductors from across the country, and sing as part of a mass choir of hundreds of students. The high school and community college choirs each take part in about 9 hours of intense rehearsals over two days, culminating in a high-quality performance on day two.

The WC Madrigal Singers were one of only two high school groups chosen to perform in the showcase concert on the first night based on past outstanding performances and their continuing legacy of performing high-caliber music. The invitation itself is testament to the image that WC Madrigals as a group and the WC Choral Department as a whole present to the public. Their performance is evidence of rigorous instruction and a level of student commitment unmatched in many high school programs.
