VICKSBURG, Miss. – The Vicksburg Warren School District (VWSD) has announced the members of the 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame Class, recognizing a distinguished group of former athletes, coaches and contributors who have made a lasting impact on the district’s athletic programs.
The 2025 class includes Michael Banks, Katherine Barnett, Thomas Billups, Ella Bullock, Kelvin Carter, James Erves, Morris Johnson, Stacey Lee and Larry Tyrone. These individuals were selected based on their outstanding achievements, dedication, and long-term contributions to VWSD athletics and the overall school community.
The Hall of Fame serves as a way to honor those who have excelled in sports, leadership, and service, while also inspiring future generations of student-athletes. Each year, the district evaluates a group of candidates and selects a new class of inductees who represent the best of VWSD’s rich athletic history.
The honorees will be formally celebrated during the annual Hall of Fame Banquet, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at the Vicksburg Convention Center. The banquet will begin at 6 p.m., with tickets available for purchase online through GoFan.co or at the door on the night of the event.
As part of the celebration, the 2025 inductees will also be recognized on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, during halftime of the Vicksburg High School vs. Warren Central High School varsity football game. This long-standing rivalry game provides a meaningful setting to honor the legacy and contributions of the new Hall of Fame class in front of the community.
The VWSD Athletic Hall of Fame was established to acknowledge excellence in athletics and the positive influence of those who helped shape the district’s legacy.
