VICKSBURG, Miss. — The Vicksburg Warren School District concluded its annual Administrative Retreat Friday with a series of final presentations led by district leadership, signaling a unified commitment to professional excellence, accountability, and student-focused growth across all 17 schools.

The closing session featured remarks from Superintendent Dr. Tori Holloway, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Cedric Magee, Associate Superintendent Eric Green, and newly appointed Human Resources Director Latoya Evans. Held at the Academy of Innovation, the multi-day retreat brought together principals, assistant principals, and key district personnel for strategic planning ahead of the 2025–2026 school year.

Superintendent Holloway reaffirmed the district’s core priorities, with an emphasis on equity in learning, instructional leadership, and improved academic outcomes. His presentation provided an overview of the district’s data-driven initiatives and a preview of updates to the VWSD 2030 Strategic Plan and a strong presentation on being a Carpenter or Craftsman.

Each presentation reflected the retreat’s central theme of “moving forward together,” offering actionable insights while reinforcing the district’s belief that leadership begins with clarity and collaboration.

As the new school year approaches, the retreat closed with a sense of collective purpose among VWSD leaders—recommitting to the district’s mission of preparing every student for college, career, and life.
