Vicksburg, MS — As the countdown to the first day of school begins, the Vicksburg Warren School District (VWSD) is reminding all parents and guardians that student registration for the 2025–2026 school year is mandatory and must be completed before students can attend class or ride the school bus.

With the first day of school rapidly approaching, district officials are urging families to take action now to avoid delays in transportation, class placement, and school access.

Why Registration Matters:

  • Ensures accurate bus routes and schedules

  • Helps schools prepare class rosters, teacher assignments, and materials

  • Allows families to receive important school updates

  • Provides critical health, emergency, and contact information

Who Needs to Register?

  • All new AND returning students to the district

  • This includes students entering Pre-K, Kindergarten, and those moving up from elementary to junior high or junior high to high school
