About Us

The VWSD Child Nutrition Department will:

Support the mission and goals of the Vicksburg Warren SD
Function as an integral part of each student’s education with a focus on learning readiness and health promotion
Encourage each student and staff member to make healthy food choices
Provide the resources to assist in teaching healthy dietary habits

The purpose of this association is to :

Promote high standards of child nutrition and school community nutrition programs with emphasis on nutritionally-adequate meals that are appealing to children.
Promotes efforts between school personnel, allied organizations, industry and the public to assure every child an opportunity to receive the benefits of the Child Nutrition and Nutrition Education Programs.
Promote the involvement of students and the school community in Child Nutrition.
Promote membership and provide services to members.
