VIS is a Title I school.  Because of Title I funding, we are able to pay the salaries of our lead teacher and some assistant teachers.  These staff members provide support for students and teachers.  Funds are also used to purchase computers, materials for the classroom, winter, and summer reading books, and other items to help us be successful.   The Schoolwide Plan outlines the steps our school will take to implement effective reform strategies in student achievement, curriculum and instruction, professional development, family and community involvement, and school context and organization.  The plan may be viewed at the school or in the Office of Federal Programs during normal business hours.
