Adults and students posing with a Dr. Seuss book

Dana Road Elementary kicked off the 2024 Read Across America Week on Friday, March 1st. Several distinguished visitors and volunteers visited the school to read to each class. Students joined the celebration by dressing according to a Dr. Seuss themed book the following week. Students enjoyed dressing as twins for "Cat in the Hat", wearing crazy socks for "Fox in Socks", pajamas for "The Sleep Book", Christmas attire for "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", and bringing their favorite stuffed animal for "Wocket in my Pocket".

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our visitors, distinguished guests, parents, and students for their participation. We truly could not have such great events without your support.

"You're off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so....get on your way!" -Dr. Seuss
