I am Kathy Parker, and I am honored to be your new librarian for the 2020-21 school year! This is my third year at Sherman, and my thirteenth year as a librarian and I truly love my job! Before becoming a librarian, I previously taught Pre-K, first, second, and sixth grade for 12 years.  I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi University for Women, and a master's degree from Mississippi College.  I have a loving husband, 2 wonderful children, 2 sweet dogs, and 2 ornery cats.  My hobbies include traveling, spending time with my family and friends, and, of course, reading!

In library this year, we will be checking out books, learning about authors and illustrators, participating in an exciting Accelerated Reading program, and much more! 

I hope to help instill a passion for reading in every child at SAE!
