My name is Kathy Parker, and I am honored to be your librarian for the 2020-21 school year!  This is my third year at Sherman, but my twelfth year as a librarian and I truly love my job.  Before becoming a librarian, I previously taught Pre-K, first, second, and sixth grades for 12 years.  I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from The Mississippi University for Women, and a master's degree from Mississippi College.  I have a loving husband, two wonderful children, two sweet dogs, and two ornery cats.  My hobbies include traveling, spending time with friends and family, and, of course, READING!  

In library this year, we will be checking out lots of books, learning about authors and illustrators, participating in an exciting Accelerated Reading program, and much more!

I hope to instill a passion for reading in every child at SAE!
