Vision

The tentative vision of Warren Central Junior High to move progressively to the status of high achieving through a solidified partnership with all school and community stakeholders, a professional, highly trained, motivated staff and a continued focus on educating the whole child.

Mission Statement

The mission of Warren Central Junior High is to provide an educational environment that both educates and stimulates the whole child through rigorous standards, innovative instructional techniques, and a stakeholder developed a child centered learning environment that caters to a student’s individual interests.

Belief

The professional school counselors serving Warren Central Junior High School believe:

  • All students can achieve and meet high standards that will result in post-secondary success

  • Counselors promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive school climate that values and respects the diverse cultural identities represented in our school

  • The counseling program addresses the “head and heart” of students - essential to academic, social/emotional and career success

  • Counselors act as leaders at the school and district levels to create systemic change that benefits our students

  • Data collection and analysis drive the school counseling program goals for promoting student achievement

  • Counselors abide by the principles of ethical behaviors as outlined in ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors.

Our Mission

Warren Central Junior High School counseling mission is to educate all students in academic, career, and personal/social development in collaborative partnership with parents/guardians, school personnel, and community members. Warren Junior will provide a safe, positive environment for students to build a foundation of life-long learning skills, good citizenship, respect for self and others, and enthusiasm for achieving their highest creative and academic potential.

Confidential

Privacy and confidentiality are essential to having an effective school counseling program. Warren Junior recognizes the importance of good communication and good working relationships between students, parents, and the school. Therefore, every effort will be made to protect student and parent privacy rights except under certain limited conditions. These conditions generally included safety issues (harm to self and/others), legal issues, and professional responsibilities (see the ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors ).
