Bowmar Elementary was awarded Legacy status from Franklin Covey and The Leader in Me on Monday, May 8, 2023. Bowmar has been a Lighthouse School for the past nine years. The Legacy status was given for exhibiting an innovative culture of leadership and sustained growth in the areas required for Lighthouse status through Franklin Covey. Bowmar is one of two schools awarded Legacy status in the Vicksburg Warren School District on Monday. Bovina Elementary is the other Lighthouse School awarded Legacy status. The Vicksburg Warren School District is the only district with two Legacy schools in the world.
