• CHROMEBOOK RETURNS FOR 2018-19  SCHOOL YEAR

     
    All students must return their Chromebooks they were issued for the 2018-19 school year by May 24, 2019. 
     
    Beginning Monday, May 6, student Chromebooks will be taken up during English classes.  Only ninth grade Chromebooks will be taken up during the English II state tests (May 7 and May 8).  See Chromebook Return Schedule for Underclassmen below.    
     
    If students do not have their Chromebooks on the day their English classes are scheduled to turn them in, they may return their Chromebooks to the library staff before or after school May 9 – 16 or during school hours May 17 – May 24.  Students must have their Chromebook, blue protector case, black soft case, and the power adapter and cord (charger).  If a student does not have one of these or has damaged a component, the cost to replace or repair them is listed below:
        • screen $30
        • keyboard damage not under warranty $30
        • power adapter and cord $20
        • blue hard shell $10
        • black soft case $10
        • full damage to device $150

    COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

    We understand that the recent tragedy of a school shooting in Florida has led to a sense of unease among students, parents and the community. The Vicksburg Warren School District is committed to protecting the safety and welfare of all its students and staff and takes any safety threat seriously.

    Our Safety Resource Officers will continue to collaborate with local law enforcement including the Vicksburg Police Department and Warren County Sheriff’s Department to immediately and thoroughly investigate any threat. All credible threats will be addressed.

    VWSD continues to make the safety of our students, employees and visitors a top priority. Anyone who hears or knows about a potential threat or dangerous situation, should contact Officer Dewayne Sims, Chief of School Safety, at 601-415-7186.
