The Board of Trustees voted on Thursday, August 26th to accept revised options for instructional delivery for the students of the Vicksburg Warren School District effective Monday, August 30, 2021. This revision was made possible because of changes adopted by the Mississippi Department of Education on August 19, 2021 allowing districts the flexibility to offer certain learning options through October 31, 2021.

- Parents Must sign compact to enroll your student
- Enrollment open through September 7, 2021
- Students who are enrolled in Hybrid Scheduling will remain on the At-home schedule through October 31, 2021 - unless revoked by student's principal

BOARD ISSUES MASK MANDATE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
In a special called meeting on August 12, 2021, The Board of Trustees approved a district-wide universal mask mandate effective immediately for all students, teachers, staff and visitors on campuses and on school buses. All students, staff and visitors should report to school (or board the bus) wearing a mask beginning on Friday, August 13, 2021. If a child does not have a mask, one will be provided.
The mask mandate is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.
The safety of students and staff remains at the forefront of decision making at the District. The Vicksburg Warren School District strongly recommends that all individuals ages 12 and older be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
The following verbiage was added to the plan.
- Universal masking - wearing a mask covering the nose and mouth - when indoors or on the school bus for all teachers, staff, and students, when not eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status.
- Universal masking - wearing a mask covering the nose and mouth - for visitors to K-12 school school settings, regardless of vaccination status.
- If there is a medical condition that prevents the wearing of a mask. Such conditions must have supporting documentation from a health care provider.
- While speaking to someone who is hearing impaired.
The Vicksburg Warren School District has developed tools for our families to help understand quarantine guidelines and to view sample letters they may receive if their student test positive for COVID-19 or has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus.

Following recommendations from MSDH and CDC, the Vicksburg Warren School District strongly recommends:
- All individuals age 12 and older be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
